We have been very blessed with the success of our Service Dogs.  It begins with the selection of good healthy breeding dogs and the birth of healthy puppies.  These pups are raised to be very social,to have a high prey drive and have a sense of curiosity that usually gets them into trouble. We spend countless hours with the chosen potential service pups introducing them to all surface types, social situations and allowing them to explore the world around them freely.
The second ingredient for success is the training of the dogs and the ability of the trainers to see the dog's natural ability and work through their short comings. These trainers are gifted individuals who seldom get the credit they deserve.
The final ingredient are the handlers, who after many hours of hard work along with their four legged partner, form a team who rely on each other's ability to share the language of total respect and trust.

 Dedicated people and a wee sprinkle of luck are the ingredients that make a phenomenal service dog.

Roxie is the first Police Service Dog I’ve ever had the pleasure of handling.  Roxie and I were paired up during July of 2007 and immediately bonded.  Since then, we’ve continued to grow together at work and even just kicking around the house.  I’m still amazed at how one dog can possess so many great characteristics all wrapped up in one pretty little package.  Her winning personality, high level of intelligence and such an intense willingness to work has made her not only an outstanding partner, but a great companion.  Roxie is a big puppy when she’s off duty, but remains consistent in switching over to a surprisingly mature and methodical searcher when it’s time to work.  I have nothing but the utmost appreciation and admiration for Lori and her family’s hard work and dedication in producing such an excellent line of dogs.  I couldn’t have asked for a better “first dog” to be partnered with.

Max is a detector dog for the Victoria Police Department.  I met Max when he was a year old and immediately knew he had the drive and socialization skills to make our program.  Max’s abilities exceeded my expectations.  Max has amazing drive to search and becomes locked on to the task at hand. Max’s willingness to please and his love to work make him an amazing partner. I can’t say enough about how happy I am with Max and I compliment Lori and her family for the wonderful socialization of their puppies. Lori’s commitment and approach only enhance the quality of the bloodlines and the result is a very unique and rare companion.
