SOFT SALMON TRAINING TREATS
2 cans of salmon (with juice)
3 eggs
fresh minced garlic (or garlic powder)
1.5 cups of brown rice flour (you can buy it in bulk at Save-on Foods)
Use braun mixer to mix wet ingredients to a puree. Stir in flour.
Preheat oven to 350. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Use a tool to squeeze the mixture into long thin sticks. (I use a beef jerky gun that I bought at London Drugs - smallest attachment)
Bake for 9-11 minutes (might be a bit longer depending on the thickness of the salmon sticks)
Cut into treat size training treats.
Put in a ziploc bag and freeze. I thaw what I need for the training day.
(you can also just press the entire mixture into a greased pyrex lasagna pan. It will take about 20 minutes to bake. You then cut into squares. I found these to be a bit more crumbly than using a jerky gun - but my dog still LOVED the taste)
Thank you to Molly’s family for sharing this recipe!
